Cell phones and pagers must be turned off or turned to silent alert in chapel, class, lectureships and quiet study areas. Most classes at MB Biblical Seminary have breaks after about 90 minutes, and it is possible to check messages and respond to urgent concerns during such breaks.

If a student expects a call because of personal or professional emergencies, advise the speaker/teacher beforehand, set the device to silent alert, sit near a door so that you can leave unobtrusively, and wait until you are well away from the class and the door behind you is closed before you begin speaking.
