Hiebert Library: general description
The collection's strengths reflect the nature of the institutions which the library serves. Currently there are 150,000 bound volumes in the collection. Hiebert Library subscribes to over 2,000 journals in print and digital formats. Many volumes of back issues of journals are in microfilm. The library maintains a microfilm collection that includes the New York Times (1961-present), and the Wall Street Journal (1985-present). In addition, ERIC documents are available on microfiche (1980-present). An extensive collection of 4,650 musical recordings (both phonograph and compact disc) and 1,500 video cassettes are available for use in the library. The library utilizes the Library of Congress classification system to organize its materials.
