Ministry Quest

Transforming lives through the power of a call

Ministry Quest retreatIn 2002, MB Biblical Seminary received a grant from the Lily Foundation, Inc. that allowed us to launch Ministry Quest in 2003. Since then, over 160 high school students from more than 50 congregations in the US and Canada have experienced the program.

The aim of Ministry Quest is to transform lives through the power of a call. This is done through a one-year program with high school students that includes two retreats, ministry opportunities in their home congregations, and mentoring by mature Christians from their communities.

In addition to the year long high school program, Ministry Quest engages in leadership training through the Mennonite Brethren national conferences in the US and Canada. They also hold retreats at North America colleges and universities throughout the year. Participants have included Tabor College, Canadian Mennonite University and Bethany College.

Monies from the Lilly Foundation continue to support Ministry Quest, but on a matching gift basis. For every dollar we raise, the Lilly Foundation matches with another dollar. For 2007-2008, the seminary needs to raise $91,000 in matching funds. Each dollar you give is immediately doubled. Can you join us in supporting this vital ministry?
