We view the Church today as an unstoppable force created to change the world. Training men and women, and equipping them to lead the Church is one of the most important investments we can make. Loren and Jane Balzer – Buhler, KS
Several years ago, we partnered with MB Biblical Seminary, feeling that God had called us to be a part of a ministry that would train people to be pastors, missionaries, and church planters. Former President Henry Schmidt had given our church the vision of the seminary and although it was a motivating speech, it seemed like a quiet voice inside stirring our hearts to contribute and support the seminary.
Years later, I (Loren) had the fortune of serving on the Southern District Conference’s Church Extension and Evangelism Commission, and witnessed new church plants that are giving people hope in Christ in the communities where they are located. I’ve also had the joy of working with church leaders that have had a vision to grow the Church and multiply believers. In listening to young interns and Ministry Quest students give testimony of igniting others to serve Christ, I have been energized. MB Biblical Seminary was a contributing factor in training many of these leaders and I am thankful that I could experience the fruits of their labor.
As we reflect back on our decision to contribute and partner with the Seminary, we feel blessed to have been nudged by God and to be a part of a ministry that is getting leaders ready and committed to serve in His kingdom.
