Background
Teaching is Ron's third career. His first was farming, his second pastoring, and his third formally began at MBBS-ACTS in 2002. The first career taught him to love the land and take faith risks that would result in more food for the hungry; the second career taught him to love people and take faith risks that would equip the people of God for greater effectiveness in fulfilling the mission of the church in the world. Careers one and two combined to give him a passion for training women and men to live into the call, risking all by faith to be effective leaders of effective faith communities. In the fifteen years prior to coming to ACTS, Ron pastored two urban churches, served two police forces in chaplaincy ministry, and served as a provincial moderator and MBBS board member. Ron now serves as assistant professor of leadership studies.
